This fine piece is another example of great Bulova quality...Though the dial can be considered and acquired taste or even too busy for some, it's a classic design.As usual the photos found all over the internet do not do it justice. On that note, the photo here shows a sub-dial with the tuning-forked second hand being very dark blue or even black. Mine just happens to be a whitish color. This would be cool if I now own a rare abberation.Two (2) aperture sub-dials allowing a view of the inner-workings of the timepiece make this watch unique. Also awe-inspiring is the exhibition caseback allowing a rear view of more gears and the automatic movement of the piece.The watch has not lost or gained time in the 14 days I've been wearing it. I expect that it would stop keeping time if not worn or wound for over 4 days.Additionally, the band has a 'hidden' quick-release double-button deployment clasp which I love. I've never experienced any hitches, scratches, snags or accidental releases. The entire band consists of brushed as well as polished steel.Pros: (listed above) as well as Roman numerals, Automatic, 21-jewel movement, well-placed branding (tuning forks) and overall build quality.Also note: 1.) The luminous hour markers are made up of tiny circle dots (at every hour) within the curved minute track rectangle. 2.) In a certain light the hour and minute hands look amazing thanks to their chrome outlining. 3.) There are -what appear to be- slivers of crystal linking the minute track/luminous dots to the inner part of the dial. (Not uncommon)This Bulova piece is an excellent addition to any collection, especially as an automatic...It's only flaws -if you can call them flaws- are as follows:1.) If the time reads 2:11 for example, the hour hand is rendered virtually invisible as it is located behind the minute hand.2.) The acute triangular hour and minute hands have limited flare to them if you are accustomed to awesome designs.3.) The luminous innards are also triangular with no designs or breaks to speak of.Still, highly recommended!!!P.S. Who knows if people are buying watches in these financial times... however I will do my best to post helpful photos shortly.

After careful research, I decided on this watch because it met my criteria, which were:1. Mid-range price2. Company Reputation of Quality3. Unique Design4. Suitable for work and casual useI just received my watch and am thrilled with the timepiece. As another reviewer said, the pictures on the Web don't do it justice. While it is a larger watch, it does not overwhelm - and it's weight gives it the feel of a more expensive instrument. I had gotten the recommendation to seek out Bulova from a local jeweler, who said that in over 35 years of watch repair and sales, Bulova is the best brand for overall reliability of any in the mid-range price range.Although it is a skelatal chronograph, the design allows easy reading for time, and the opening into the workings is a fascinating plus. The watch is sleek, classy and will be a perfect accompaniment to a suit or casual wear. It's early, but the precision is evident, with zero time lost or gained during early wear. I am tall with a medium build and had to remove a couple of links, which is fine - it's a lot easier to take them out than find matched new ones.The band clasp is outstanding - hidden from obvious view and obviously well-designed to open and close. The hands are stylish, but easy to read, in light or dark. I will confirm one reviewer's comment that the hour hand does disappear behind the second hand - no big deal if you know it to be true.All in all, I highly recommend this choice for someone with similar criteria to mine. Great job, Bulova!

I purchased this watch for my husband for our 1st anniversary. The first watch that was sent although very beautiful, had an irregularity that my husband noticed by the end of the first night. Amazon was amazingly helpful in getting a replacement to us TWO DAYS LATER! This one was perfect! I am so pleased with Amazon and their wonderful customer service. We had 30 days to return the first watch with a shipping label they provided. Thank you so much Amazon for your consistency.And let me just say the watch is more striking in person than in the pictures. My husband has gotten so many compliments on it. :)
